Frequently Asked Questions

Is it simply a job posting?

  • Yes.  However, we’ve become really good at creating targeted campaigns amplified by our partnerships with Google, Facebook, Instagram, and other local members/partners, who help us spread our messaging, ads, and jobs. In addition, we have built a reputation of trust over the last decade + that helps candidates overcome that first hurdle, assured that companies we work with are vetted, reputable, quality employers.  That's why we generally get a much higher response rate than other types of posting/listings!


Do you host job fairs, conduct interviews, filter backgrounds/resumes, translate for us, help with housing, etc.?

  • We do not, as our expertise is in building a strong pipeline of candidates.

  • We can refer partners who can assist for an additional fee.

  • We can recommend full-service recruiting partners for those interested or who need more help.  Oftentimes, we work in conjunction with these partners.

Do you do background checks or drug testing?

  • We do not do either, as this falls within the realm of more full-service recruiting firms.

  • However, Puerto Rico currently offers criminal and driver background checks for free online: https://servicios.pr.gov/info

  • Also, we can recommend a partner who can help with drug testing.

Any laws/regulations to be concerned about?

  • Given that we are located on the mainland and target our network across the United States and in Puerto Rico, and that candidates on the island are American citizens, you can recruit and hire like any other citizen.  

  • However, if you are to visit and interview, and directly recruit only in Puerto Rico, you must comply with Law 87, which requires filing with the local Dept of Labor (which takes months) and complying with their standards.  We're happy to point you in the right direction, send contact info, or connect you with an expert who can assist if interested.

What type of compensation, and standard benefits are others offering?

  • It’s a very competitive environment across the United States, and increasingly so in Puerto Rico. We recommend competitive compensation in your local markets, combined with airfare, temporary housing assistance, and other incentives such as bonuses, etc. These additional benefits are not required but strongly encouraged in order to garner the most interest in your open positions.

How many jobs can I post under a plan?

  • If you’re hiring for multiple positions at one location, they can all be included in a single recruiting plan. If you’re hiring at multiple locations, each location will require a separate recruiting plan.
